The Eastern Highlands is where Zimbabwe goes to breathe. Cool air, pine forests, trout dams and viewpoints that fall away towards Mozambique.
We base in Nyanga for two nights and day-hop: Mt Nyangani's slopes, Nyangombe Falls, the quiet terraces of Nyanga National Park and one golden-hour stop at World's View that never photographs as good as it feels.
Good to know
Roads are tarred all the way — any car can do this trip, which keeps the price friendly. Bring a jacket; July nights drop near zero.
Day by day
- Day 1
Harare → Nyanga
Morning departure with a coffee stop in Rusape. Afternoon easy walk to Nyangombe Falls, fireside dinner.
- Day 2
Nyanga big loop
Nyanga National Park: Troutbeck, Mt Nyangani viewpoints, Nyamuziwa Falls and World's View for sunset.
- Day 3
Vumba detour → home
Wind down through the Vumba botanical gardens and tea estates before rolling back into Harare.
